Davidson, NC · Christmas Lights & Permanent LED
Christmas Light Installation in Davidson, NC
Davidson runs from century-old Main Street houses to the golf-course streets of River Run, and the two want completely different light. We design, install, maintain, and remove seasonal displays for both, and install permanent LED rooflines that stay invisible until dark.

Lighting Davidson
for the holidays.
The local historic district covers the two or three blocks of downtown, the Davidson College campus, and a long stretch of North Main Street, where Italianate, Greek Revival, and Gothic Revival homes have stood for well over a century. Deep porches. Tall narrow windows. Painted wood trim everywhere you look. Those houses do not need much: a warm even line along the porch roof and the main eave, a wreath sized to the door, garland with actual weight to it. Restraint reads as expensive here, and anything animated picks a fight with the architecture it cannot win.
Old exteriors also set the rules for how anything gets attached. On original wood trim and soft older masonry we work off clips that seat on the shingle edge and the gutter lip: nothing screwed, stapled, or driven into century-old material, and nothing left behind in January.
Two miles out, the town changes character completely. River Run is the golf community off Grey Road, roughly 750 homes built from the 1990s onward, with larger footprints and considerably more roofline per house. Bailey Springs sits beside the same course under heavy mature tree cover, and McConnell is the walkable in-town pocket near the college, newer and older homes side by side. On those modern elevations a permanent LED roofline is usually the better answer: hidden in the fascia channel, invisible in daylight, sixteen million colors from your phone, and a 25-year warranty.

What we install in Davidson
Christmas Light Displays
Custom seasonal displays scaled to the house: a restrained warm run on a Main Street porch roof, full roofline and dormer work on a River Run elevation. Design, installation, mid-season maintenance, takedown, and storage are all part of the package.
Christmas lighting details →Permanent LED Roofline Lighting
Architectural LED strips hidden inside the roofline channel, invisible by day and app-controlled after dark. Sixteen million colors, a scene for every holiday, and a 25-year warranty, best suited to the newer elevations around River Run and McConnell.
Permanent LED details →Trees, Wreaths & Garland
Trunk wraps and canopy lighting for the heavy tree cover in Bailey Springs and the old shade trees along North Main, plus wreaths and garland sized to a historic door rather than draped over it.
See seasonal options →Commercial & HOA
Main Street storefronts, clubhouses and entrance monuments, and HOA common areas, scoped around business hours so an install never blocks a doorway in December. One point of contact, one design, one invoice.

Downtown and the Main Street historic district get the most careful work we do anywhere. Storefronts along the walkable two-to-three-block core take garland, wreaths, and a warm run at the cornice line, installed around business hours so December shopping never stops for a ladder. The residential blocks up North Main Street ask for the same restraint at a smaller scale.
River Run, off Grey Road, is where the volume is: roughly 750 homes from the 1990s onward, larger footprints, more gable and dormer per house, and golf frontage that puts the back of the property on display alongside the front. Bailey Springs, right beside the same course, is where the trees do the heavy lifting: mature canopy over the front yards, so trunk wraps and lit branches matter as much as the roofline above them.
McConnell is walkable and in-town near the college, newer homes mixed with older ones on the same street, so we match the design to the house rather than the block. Out along the Davidson-Concord Road corridor the lots open up again. Cornelius and Huntersville are immediately next door, with Concord and Mooresville a short run out.

Davidson questions
Yes. We install throughout Davidson, including downtown and the Main Street historic district, North Main Street, River Run, Bailey Springs, McConnell, and out along the Davidson-Concord Road corridor. Cornelius and Huntersville are next door on the same run. If you are not sure whether your street is covered, call (704) 326-2024 and we will tell you straight.
Early fall is the safe answer. The install calendar fills before Thanksgiving, and the historic-district houses get scheduled first because careful work on old wood and masonry takes longer than a straight modern fascia run. Permanent LED systems are different. We install those year-round, so the off-season is the easiest time to book one.
It depends on the size of the roofline and the scope of the display. Most residential seasonal installations run from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Permanent LED systems are quoted by linear roofline footage. Either way the on-site design consultation is free and there is no obligation.
Yes. Takedown and storage are included in every seasonal Christmas light package. We schedule removal after the holidays and store your lights until next season, so you never touch a ladder.
Yes. Brick and painted-wood storefronts take garland, wreaths, and a warm run at the cornice line far better than anything animated, and we scope downtown work around business hours so an install never blocks your door. On original wood trim and older masonry we work off clips that seat on the shingle edge and the gutter lip: nothing screwed or stapled into century-old material, and nothing left behind in January.
