Christmas Light Installation in Rock Hill, SC
Old Town storefronts, established streets under old trees, and new subdivisions on the edges. Rock Hill takes three different lighting plans. We design, install, maintain, and take down all of them, plus permanent LED rooflines that stay up all year.

Lighting Rock Hill
for the holidays.
Rock Hill is the largest city in York County, and it is really three lighting jobs wearing one name. There is Old Town, the downtown district, where brick storefronts stand shoulder to shoulder and the whole street is judged as one composition. There are the established neighborhoods around the center and around the Winthrop University campus, full of deep porches, period trim, and trees that have been there a great deal longer than the wiring. And there are the newer subdivisions spreading out toward the edges of town, where the fascia is straight and the elevations are tall.
Each one gets a different plan. Downtown, garland, wreaths, and a warm run along the top beat anything animated. Old brick has enough texture already, and a storefront lit like a house looks wrong from across the street. On the older residential streets the work is detail work, judged from ten feet away: columns, railings, porch ceilings, and a roofline that traces the eave rather than trying to outshine the tree canopy above it. Those big trees are the second half of the display, and trunk wraps often do more for the property than the roof does.
The newer streets are the opposite problem: long clean fascia, two-story elevations, and an HOA streetscape that rewards consistency. One warm color temperature, honest spacing, nothing that fights the house next door. That is also where permanent LED tends to make the most sense: the strips hide inside the roofline channel and disappear in daylight, so the house looks unchanged to the street, and at night you pick the scene from your phone. Sixteen million colors, a 25-year warranty, no ladder in the garage.

Christmas lighting details →Permanent LED Roofline Lighting
Architectural LED strips hidden inside your roofline channel, invisible by day, fully app-controlled at night. Sixteen million colors, programmable scenes for every holiday, and a 25-year warranty.
Permanent LED details →Trees, Wreaths & Garland
Trunk wraps and canopy lighting for the mature trees on the older streets, plus wreaths, garland, and porch details that finish a period front. Sized and installed to match the roofline design rather than compete with it.
See seasonal options →Commercial & HOA
Old Town storefronts, entrance monuments, clubhouses, and HOA common areas, scoped around business hours so nothing blocks a doorway in December. One point of contact, one design, one invoice.
Commercial & HOA lighting →Old Town, and every
street around it.
Old Town is the part of Rock Hill people picture first, and it is the part that rewards restraint. A run of storefronts reads as one facade from the far curb, so the lighting has to agree with itself: matched garland scale, matched color temperature, and a warm line along the top that follows the parapet instead of fighting it. We scope that work around business hours, because December is the month a downtown retailer cannot afford a blocked doorway.
The established streets nearby are the city’s prettiest lighting problem. Big canopy trees, deep front porches, and older architecture with real trim detail: outline the roof and you have done a third of the job, because the eye keeps going up into branches that are still dark. Trunk wraps, canopy lighting, and lit garland along a porch rail finish it. Everything gets sized to the house, and old fascia gets clips chosen for old fascia.
Out toward the newer subdivisions the elevations get taller and the fascia gets straighter, which makes for fast, clean seasonal installs and the best possible conditions for a permanent system. Fort Mill and Tega Cay are a short run north on the same schedule, and Indian Land sits east across the county line, so a Rock Hill job and a neighboring one often share a day.

Rock Hill questions
Yes. We install across Rock Hill, from the established streets around the center of town and the Winthrop University area to the newer subdivisions out toward the edges, plus the storefronts in Old Town. Fort Mill, Tega Cay, and Indian Land run on the same schedule. If you are not sure whether your street is covered, call (704) 326-2024 and we will tell you straight.
Before the leaves are down, ideally. Our install calendar fills ahead of Thanksgiving, and the tallest elevations get scheduled first because they take the most crew time. A free consultation in early fall locks in your date. Permanent LED systems are different. Those install year-round, so the off-season is the easiest time to book one.
It depends on the size of the roofline and the scope of the display. Most residential seasonal installations run from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, with a single-story porch and eave at the lower end and a tall two-story elevation with trees higher up. Permanent LED systems are quoted by linear roofline footage, and the on-site design consultation is free either way.
Yes. Takedown and storage are included in every seasonal Christmas light package. We book the removal date at the same time we book the install, then everything comes down after the holidays and goes into our storage until next season.
Yes. Old Town is exactly the kind of district that suits garland, wreaths, and a warm run along the top rather than anything animated, and a row of storefronts is designed as one facade so the block reads together. We scope downtown and commercial work around business hours so an install never blocks your door, and HOA common areas, clubhouses, and entrance monuments are quoted the same way as homes: free on-site design consultation, then a fixed price.
