Lighting Mount Holly
for the holidays.
Mount Holly is a Gaston County river town: the Catawba on one side, Charlotte across the water, and a small downtown that has been steadily coming back. The housing is a mix: established streets near the center with lower, more broken-up rooflines and trees that have been there a long while, and newer construction spreading out toward the county roads with the tall elevations and long fascia runs that outline in one clean pass.
Being this close to McAdenville matters. We are not part of the Christmas Town USA display (that is their tradition), but when the whole area turns its lights on, a half-hearted roofline shows. So we design for the line: matched bulb spacing, one warm color temperature, and the porch and trees treated as part of the same picture rather than afterthoughts. On the riverside lots, where wind comes off the water, we set commercial-grade clips and product cut to the house so the display looks the same in January as it did the day it went up.

Commercial & HOA lighting →Where we light in Mount Holly
The older streets near downtown are close-set and tree-covered, which makes the canopy as important as the roof. A warm line on the front elevation, garland at the porch, and light worked up into the trees is what turns one house into a lit property on a street like that.
The newer subdivisions out from the center give us the opposite conditions: steep gables, two-story elevations, and fascia that runs long and straight. Those are the fastest homes to make excellent, and the best candidates for a permanent LED system, because the channel runs clean end to end and disappears by daylight.
River-facing homes get their own consideration. Wind off the Catawba is harder on a display than anything else around here, so we set those installs with commercial-grade clips and product cut to the house, and we light both the street side and the water side when a home is meant to be seen from both. Belmont is a few minutes downstream and Gastonia is west, so a day here often covers more than one town.

Earlier than you think. Our install calendar fills before Thanksgiving, and the largest Mount Holly rooflines get scheduled first because they take the most crew time. Booking a free consultation in early fall locks in your date. Permanent LED systems are different. We install those year-round, so the off-season is actually the easiest time to get on the schedule.
It depends on the size of the roofline and the scope of the display. Most residential seasonal installations run from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Permanent LED systems are quoted by linear roofline footage. Either way the on-site design consultation is free and there is no obligation.
Yes. Takedown and storage are included in every seasonal Christmas light package. We schedule removal after the holidays and store your lights until next season, so you never touch a ladder.
Yes. River-facing homes get the same commercial-grade product with clips set for the wind that comes off the water, and we will light both the street side and the water side when a house is meant to be seen from both. The free on-site design consultation is where we walk the property and decide what actually needs to be lit.
