NoDa, Charlotte NC · Christmas Lights & Permanent LED
Christmas Light Installation in NoDa, Charlotte NC
Small lots, low bungalow rooflines, and a North Davidson strip where half the frontage on a block belongs to a gallery or a patio. NoDa is a precision job, not an acreage job, and we light houses, storefronts, and patios the same December week.
Free on-site design consultation, no obligation.
Lighting NoDa
for the holidays.
NoDa is not an acreage problem. The lots are small, the houses sit close to the sidewalk, and on plenty of blocks half the frontage belongs to a gallery, a bar, a coffee counter, or a music room rather than a home, so a December schedule here mixes houses, storefronts, and patios in the same afternoon. Personality does the work square footage does elsewhere, and a display that understands that beats one built for a bigger house every time.
The housing stock is the old North Davidson mill-village pattern: small-lot bungalows with deep front porches, low single-story rooflines, and trim worth outlining properly rather than covering up. On a house like that a clean warm line along the eave, garland on the porch rail, and a wreath sized to the door does more than volume ever would. Rooflines sit lower and closer together than they do in south Charlotte, which means precision matters more than reach. Spacing that is off by an inch shows from the sidewalk here, because the sidewalk is right there.
The commercial strip is its own job. Storefront frontage, patio strings, awnings, and shared entrances need access agreed before design: parking, trading hours, building management, who holds the key. We scope that around business hours so nothing blocks a doorway in the weeks that matter most. And a permanent LED run along a parapet or a bungalow eave earns its keep here in a way it does not everywhere: on for a gallery night, on through December, and completely invisible in daylight the rest of the year.

What we install in NoDa
Christmas Light Displays
Seasonal displays cut to a bungalow: eave lines, porch roofs, columns, gables, and dormers in commercial-grade weatherproof product, hand-fitted to the trim that is already there. Design, installation, mid-season maintenance, takedown, and storage all sit inside one price.
Christmas lighting details →Permanent LED Roofline Lighting
Architectural LED strips seated inside the roofline or parapet channel, invisible by day and app-controlled after dark. Sixteen million colors and a 25-year warranty, which on a street of storefronts means the frontage is lit for December and for every other night of the year.
Permanent LED details →Trees, Wreaths & Garland
Wreaths, garland, porch details, and trunk wraps for the front-yard trees on the bungalow streets. On a small lot these are the display as much as the roofline is, so they are sized to the house rather than to a catalogue.
See seasonal options →Commercial & HOA
Storefronts, patios, awnings, gallery and restaurant frontage along the North Davidson strip, plus shared entrances and building common areas. Scoped around trading hours so an install never blocks a doorway. One design, one point of contact, one invoice.
Commercial & HOA lighting →Streets and storefronts we light in NoDa
The bungalow streets are the heart of it. Low rooflines, deep porches, short driveways, and mature front-yard trees that will swallow an outlined roof if the design ignores them, so a trunk wrap and a little canopy work usually earn their place alongside the eave line. Access is a real constraint too: a ladder has to fit between two houses before anything gets hung, and that is worked out on the walk-through rather than on install day.
The North Davidson strip runs on a different clock. Storefront frontage, patios, awnings, and shared entrances all belong to businesses for whom December decides the year, so design comes second to access: parking, trading hours, building management. Warm garland, wreaths, and clean roofline runs suit that architecture better than anything animated, and a permanent LED line along a parapet means the frontage is lit for a gallery night in March as easily as for Christmas Eve.
NoDa does not stop at its own edges either. Plaza Midwood and Elizabeth next door share the same mix of houses and street-facing business frontage, Uptown and Fourth Ward run to condo and office frontage and HOA entrances, and University City up the corridor is the newer-construction side of the same map. Same crew, same design process, whichever one your address falls in.

NoDa questions
Yes. We install across NoDa, on the bungalow streets and along the North Davidson strip, and in the neighboring Plaza Midwood, Elizabeth, Uptown, and Fourth Ward areas. If you are not sure whether your street is covered, call (704) 326-2024 and we will tell you straight.
Earlier than you think. Our install calendar fills before Thanksgiving, and storefront work needs its access, parking, and trading hours agreed before December rather than during it. Booking a free consultation in early fall locks in your date. Permanent LED systems are different. We install those year-round, so the off-season is actually the easiest time to get on the schedule.
It depends on the size of the roofline and the scope of the display. Most residential seasonal installations run from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Permanent LED systems are quoted by linear roofline footage. Either way the on-site design consultation is free and there is no obligation.
Yes. Takedown and storage are included in every seasonal Christmas light package. We schedule removal after the holidays and store your lights until next season, so you never touch a ladder.
Yes, and on these blocks it is half the work. Storefronts, patios, awnings, gallery and restaurant frontage, shared entrances, and building common areas are quoted the same way as homes: a free on-site design consultation, then a fixed price. We scope it around trading hours so an install never blocks a doorway, and a permanent LED run along a parapet gives you a lit frontage for the rest of the year as well, controlled from your phone.
