Lake Norman, NC · Christmas Lights & Permanent LED

Christmas Light Installation on Lake Norman, NC

A house on this lake has two front elevations: the one facing the street and the one facing the water. We light both: seasonal displays designed, installed, maintained, and taken down, plus permanent LED rooflines that hold the shoreline all year.

Free on-site design consultation, no obligation.

Lighting the lake,
shore to shore.

Lake Norman is the largest man-made lake in North Carolina, filled behind a dam on the Catawba River and big enough that people around here call it the inland sea. Its shoreline runs for hundreds of miles and wraps five of the communities we light: Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville along the south and east, Mooresville at the north end, and Denver on the west shore.

Every one of those towns has its own streets and its own architecture, but the water gives them one design problem in common. A lakefront display is seen twice. Once from the road, the way every house in America is seen, and again from open water, where the full rear elevation reads in a single glance, nothing is hidden behind a hedge, and the surface repeats the whole thing back at you, doubled and slightly softened. A plan drawn from the driveway alone gets the second view wrong every time.

Distance also edits your palette for you. Across an open reach, warm white keeps its color and holds its shape, while heavily saturated hues go muddy and lose their edge before they reach the far bank. So on lake-facing elevations we keep the line clean and continuous, carry it the full length of the roof rather than stopping at the corners, and let the reflection finish the job. Permanent LED does that job every night of the year instead of six weeks: sixteen million colors when you want them, warm white when you do not, and a 25-year warranty behind the hardware.

Permanent LED Roofline Lighting

Trees, Wreaths & Garland

Trunk wraps and canopy lighting for the trees between the house and the shoreline, plus wreaths, garland, and porch details on the street side. Sized to finish the roofline rather than compete with it.

Commercial & HOA

Clubhouses, marinas, entrance monuments, lakeside common areas, and storefronts, scoped around business hours so nothing blocks a doorway in December. One point of contact, one design, one invoice.

The lake, town by town.

Cornelius and Davidson hold the south and east shore, where waterfront frontage sits a few minutes from walkable downtown streets. Big lake-facing elevations on one side of town, close-set porches and columns on the other: reach in one place, detail work in the other, and the same crew doing both in a day.

Mooresville takes the north end and brings a lot of the lake’s newest and largest rooflines with it, while Denver holds the west shore in Lincoln County, looking back across the water at everyone else. Between them they cover most of the open reaches on the lake, which is exactly where a continuous run beats a decorative one.

Huntersville anchors the inland side, where the shoreline gives way to established streets, mature trees, and newer construction with straight modern fascia. That is permanent-LED country: the strips vanish in daylight, so the house reads the same to the street and to the HOA, and after dark the scene is a tap away. Wherever you are on the lake, the process is identical: a free on-site design consultation first, then a fixed price.

Lake Norman questions

We work the whole lake (Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville on the south and east shore, Mooresville at the north end, and Denver on the west shore), plus the streets inland from each of them. Every one of those towns has its own page on this site listing the neighborhoods we cover. If you are not sure whether your street is included, call (704) 326-2024 and we will tell you straight.

Yes, and it is the reason we walk a waterfront property twice. From open water the entire rear elevation reads at once and the surface reflects every light back, so we carry those runs the full length of the roof instead of stopping at the corners, and we favor warm white on the lake side because it keeps its color at distance where saturated hues wash out.

Earlier than you think. The install calendar fills before Thanksgiving, and waterfront homes get scheduled first because they take the most design time and the most crew time. Booking a free consultation in early fall locks in your date. Permanent LED systems are different. We install those year-round, so the off-season is actually the easiest time to get on the schedule.

It depends on the size of the roofline and the scope of the display. Most residential seasonal installations run from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, and a waterfront home with two elevations to light sits higher up that range than a standard street lot. Permanent LED systems are quoted by linear roofline footage. Either way the on-site design consultation is free and there is no obligation.

Yes. Takedown and storage are included in every seasonal Christmas light package. We schedule removal after the holidays and store your lights until next season, so you never touch a ladder.
